Analysis of HRM and Labour Welfare Code 55 of UGC NET held on 04 Dec 2019

The UGC NET for Human Resource Management and Labour Welfare, HRM & LW (Code 55) was conducted in the second half of 04 Dec 2019. The difficulty level of the paper was little tougher than June 2019 exam.

Before anything else, let us look at the Cut off for Code 55 Paper in June 2019 and Dec 2018 exams:

Cut off in Jun 2019

Unreserved: 70% (JRF) and 61% (NET)

OBC: 65% (JRF) and 64% (NET)

SC: 64% (JRF) and 53% (NET)

Cut off in Dec 2018

Unreserved: 68% (JRF) and 59% (NET)

OBC: 64% (JRF) and 53% (NET)

SC: 61% (JRF) and 51% (NET)

This time, the cut off is likely to go down by 2-3 points. For JRF you can expect cut off to be around 66-69% and for NET you need around 60-63%.

After every NET exam, we at Human Peritus, analyse, how many questions appeared from Study Material Package of Human Peritus. During Dec 2019 exam, 92 out of 100 Questions were covered in Package of Human Peritus. This number was 88% in June 2019. Yes, if someone would have studied only from Human Peritus Package (and nothing else, no other book, no previous paper), She/he would have easily scored above 92% in Dec 19 exam of HRM subject. This “question by question analysis” for 04 Dec exam is available at the bottom of this page. You can see previous years analysis by clicking   Jun 19 Analysis and Dec 18 Analysis and July 18 Analysis and Nov 17 Analysis

Overall Summary

On social media, we hear so many gurus saying with confidence that “1 question comes from XXX topic”. Please note that, there are no such trends. If you want to have 100% confidence of cracking UGC NET, you have to stick to these 2 rules.

Rule 1 : Go through every keyword of syllabus.

Rule 2: Treat every keyword of syllabus with equal respect. Nothing is less important.

Highlights of HRM Code 55 Paper held on 04 Dec 2019 are:

1. The UGC NET is sticking to the syllabus. No questions were asked from Motor Transport Act, Bonded Labour Act, Apprentices Act etc.

2. Till few years back, there were questions on “Rules” of ESIC Act, Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act, Factories Act. No questions were there on “Rules” in 04 Dec 2019 exam.

3. Although it is humanly impossible to remember the section number, this time the NTA has asked 2-3 questions on “section number” in labour laws.

4. There were 7-8 Questions in the form of ‘Match the following’.

5. OB and Business Management- Large number of questions on authors and theories propounded by them.

6. In every exam you will find 5-6 questions, which hardly anyone can answer, For example Can you remembers name and year of all ILO conventions that India has signed ?(they are around 47 in number). These questions should not scare you.

7. Another one is, what is included in Schedule of Workers Participation Bill 1990. It is just a bill (not even Act) and that too for year 1990.

8. Expected Questions on ILO Conventions and Articles of the Constitution of India

9. No Numerical based question in Labour Laws like calculation of leaves, compensastion, gratutity etc,

10. Ten questions were on the Reading Comprehension format, which did not require any subject knowledge.

The paper was predictable and 92% questions were from Human Peritus package.

Thinking to Challenge Answer Key of UGC NET

If you are thinking to Challenge UGC NET Answer Keys, Human Peritus will do it for you free of cost. Email us Questions and why you think it is wrong at ankita@humanperitus.com. Our subject matter experts will also guide you on, whether the question should be challenged.

Thus, we have been consistently seeing that more than 80% questions appear from our content in HRM subject for UGC NET. The credit for this goes to our “Structured Methodology” of preparing content. Our team, analysed every question, that appeared in any paper since year 2009. Our subject matter expert team (all of whom are NET/JRF qualified), had brainstorming session on each keyword of revised syllabus, to identity, what should be excluded/included in the content.  Lot of research is conducted before finalizing anything in content.

Human Peritus does not just provide study material. We provide you all previous  questions with detailed explanation, fresh questions by our team, full length practice papers, online platform practice.

If you choose to go with us, you need not look at any other book, you need not look at you tube videos, you need not worry about previous questions. Nothing else. You can DEPEND COMPLETELY on Us.

You also get continuous guidance on what to study, what to ignore, what to focus upon etc. We also request you to view the video given at the bottom of this page. There is 1 hour video of Paper 2 and another 1 hour video of Paper 1.

Please note that it is not 30,000 feet overview, but detailed topic by topic analysis of every keyword of syllabus. It discusses everything about; how to prepare, expected cut off, how many questions were from which topic in June 19, what to do on exam day,  time management etc. Therefore our advise is- please sit patiently for 1 hour with a pen and paper.

We update our Study Material package every 6 months. Next updated package for Jun 2020, will be available from 18 Dec 2019, which you can order by following the steps listed on the home page of website (Click on the Green boxes, as per your subject). This time, we are making number of MAJOR changes in the entire content, to take you closest to actual exam.
