Syllabus of Personnel and HRM Officer exam- Coal India 2025

For 2025 exam, the Coal India released a new syllabus on 11 Feb 2025. Check out this video, to understand, what changed in new syllabus for Personnel abd HR officer exam.

For the post of Personnel and HR Officer, Coal India conducts a single Computer-Based Online Test lasting 3 hours (in one sitting).

The test consists of two papers, each carrying 100 marks, for a total of 200 marks with 200 questions.

Each question is worth 1 mark, and there is no penalty for incorrect answers. Unattempted questions will not be awarded any marks. The question paper will be bilingual, available in both English and Hindi.

Paper 1 (100 questions):
This paper consists of:

  • General Knowledge/Awareness (25 questions)
  • Reasoning (25 questions)
  • Numerical Ability (25 questions)
  • General English (25 questions)

Paper 2 (100 questions):
This paper consists of Professional Knowledge (discipline-related) with 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark for a total of 100 marks.

For the Personnel and HR Officer post, Coal India typically follows the syllabus of UGC NET Code 55 HRM, essentially using the same syllabus.
