Section A (General Section)
1. General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability
This section includes questions from both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. The test may cover topics such as analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, observation, discrimination, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, and number series.
2. General Awareness
Questions are designed to assess the candidate’s general awareness of their surroundings and its relevance to society. The section includes questions on current events and matters of everyday observation expected from an educated person. Topics may include History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, and National and International Organizations/Institutions.
3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability
This section tests numerical aptitude and covers topics such as number systems, simplification, decimals, data interpretation, fractions, LCM, HCF, ratio and proportion, percentage, average, profit and loss, discount, simple and compound interest, mensuration, time and work, time and distance, tables, and graphs.
4. English Language & Comprehension
Questions are designed to test the candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English language. This includes vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage of words.
5. Hindi Language & Comprehension
This section evaluates the candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the Hindi language. Questions may include vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage.
