Notification and Syllabus of Deputy Manager (C&MM) NPCIL 2023 exam
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has released a notification for the recruitment of Deputy Manager (Contracts and Materials Management) starting from May 12, 2023, with the last date for submitting applications being May 29, 2023. The NPCIL is a leading PSU, responsible for designing, constructing, commissioning, and operating nuclear power plants in the country. Number of vacancies
There are 42 vacancies for Deputy Manager (Contracts and Material Management), out of which 17 are for UR, 03 for EWS, 07 for SC, 03 for ST and 12 are for OBC (NCL).
Age Limit
The Upper age limit is 30 years. You should not cross age of 30 as on the last date of application, which is 29 May 2023. There is some age relaxation for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL(3 years), PwD (10 Years), Ex-serviceman (5 years).
Pay Scale
Pay scale is Rs 56,100, which is equivalent to level-10. The total will be approximately 70K per month for Deputy Manager (C&MM) NPCIL.
Eligibility
There are two parts to the eligibility for Deputy Manager (Contracts and Materials Management) with NPCIL.
Part 1- Graduation in Engineering in any of the branches (just pass is sufficient, no requirement of certain percentage).
Part 2- Full time MBA preferably in Materials Management/Inventory Control with not less than 60% marks from a recognized University/AICTE approved Institution.
Candidates must have already passed the qualifying examination as on the last date of submission of application i.e. 29 May 2023. Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination but whose results are not declared by the crucial last date for submitting the application, are not eligible.
Exam Pattern of Deputy Manager (C&MM) NPCIL 2023 exam
The recruitment of Deputy Managers (C&MM) NPCIL will be conducted in two stages. Stage I is an Online written exam and Stage II is Interview. Both these stages are discussed next.
Stage I: Written/Online Test
Time allotted for test: 120 Minutes
Number of Questions: 120
These 120 questions are divided into 2 parts. Part I will have 50 Questions (Management Aptitude) and Part II will have 70 Questions (Professional Discipline).
The syllabus of Part I (Management Aptitude) includes Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Ethics in Public Service, RTI Act, English Language, Data Interpretation & General Awareness.
The syllabus of Part II (Professional Discipline) will includes Economics, Finance, Accounting, Legal Aspects, Materials Management, Operations Management. The detailed syllabus is discussed below.
There will be 1 mark for each correct answer and deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer (one-fourth negative marking). Thus there are 120 marks for written exam.
Cut off Marks for written test: Unreserved candidates- 40% , Reserved candidates– 30%.
Stage II: Personality Interview
The number of candidates, who will be called for an interview will be 4 times the number of vacancies. There 48 X 4 = 192 candidates will be selected from the written exam for Deputy Manager (C&MM).
Marks for Personal Interview will be 100. The cut-off marks for interview will be 60% for Unreserved candidates and 50% for Reserved candidates.
Weightage for written/online and interview marks will be 50:50 (equal weightage).
