Analysis of Management subject Code 17 of UGC NET held on 24 Jun 2019
Analysis and Cut off for Management (code 17) subject - 24 Jun 2019 UGC NET
The UGC NET for Management (Code 17) was conducted in the second half of 24 June 2019. The difficulty level of the paper was average.
The Cut off for Management subject in Dec 2018 was:
Unreserved: 62% (JRF) and 54% (NET)
OBC: 58% (JRF) and 49% (NET)
SC: 55% (JRF) and 47% (NET)
ST: 54% (JRF) and 46% (NET)
This time, the cut off is likely to go up by 1-2 percentage. The difficulty level of Paper 1 is relatively easier this time.
After every NET exam, we at Human Peritus, analyse, how many questions appeared from Study Material Package of Human Peritus. This number was 78% in July 2018 and 90% in Dec 2018. Since, syllabus got changed, this time, we expected that, the coverage will be around 70%. But, after analysing the paper of 24 June 2019, we have found that, this time, 82% of Paper is from Human Peritus material. Yes, if someone would have studied only from Human Peritus Package (and nothing else, no other book, no previous paper), She/he would have easily scored above 80% in Management-Code 17.
The credit for this goes to our “Structured Methodology” of preparing content. Our team, analysed every question, that appeared in any paper since year 2009. Our subject matter expert team (all of whom are NET/JRF qualified), had brainstorming session on each keyword of revised syllabus, to identity, what should be excluded/included in the content. Lot of research is conducted before finalizing anything in content.
We are publishing below, Question by Question Analysis, on what was covered (and what not), with the source in our material.
Some of key highlights of the Paper are:
- Questions were asked from topics, which are mentioned in the syllabus.
- There was high focus on current relevance of topics like MSME schemes, Co-operative banks.
- There were no questions from the Supply chain management, Transportation problem, Queuing Theory, LPP.
- This time, there were few new topics in syllabus. Human Peritus team was correctly able to guess potential coverage of these topics. For example, Capital and revenue expenditure (from topic of Accounting)..Another question on BEP (from Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis).
- There were almost 8-10 questions on the “Match the following” format.
- Although HR and OB are totally theoretical topics, almost every question appeared from concise booklets of Human Peritus, for these topics.
- There are few questions, which are not part of new syllabus like (a) Exponential Distribution (b) Chi-Square for non-parametric (c) Collective Bargaining for USA Act.
We update our Study Material package every 6 months. Next updated package for Dec 2019, will be available from 03 July 2019, which you can order by following the steps listed on the website. This time, we are making number of MAJOR changes in the entire content, to take you closest to actual exam.
